James Rodgers is an American football wide receiver for the Oregon State Beavers. He is the older brother of former Oregon State and Atlanta Falcons running back Jacquizz Rodgers.

Rodgers attended Lamar Consolidated in Richmond, Texas. He played wide receiver and free safety. Rodgers was the 2005 and 2006 District MVP and First Team All-State. He was also a star basketball and track athlete.[3]
On October 9, 2010, Rodgers suffered a knee injury while playing against the University of Arizona. Before he also suffered a concussion playing aganist Boise State. Rodgers is eligible to medical redshirt and to play another year.
Rodgers is the nephew of St. Louis Rams safety Michael Lewis.[4] James is the older brother of Jacquizz Rodgers, current Atlanta Falcons running back as well as former Oregon State running back.
